Pinact are a spiky, brash, noise-pop duo from Glasgow made up of high school friends Corrie Gillies (guitar and vocals) and Lewis Reynolds (drums).
Guitars thrash and drums crash, taking a heavy influence from punk but keeping a strong sense of pop through muffled melodies and distorted riffs in Pinact's music.
The duo has received praise from the likes of NME, Brooklyn Vegan, The Fly and Gold Flake Paint and played support slots for Speedy Ortiz, Japanther, Eagulls and Skaters. The band have since grown in stature and confidence – their reputation for a killer combo of noise and chorus spreading south of the border and beyond.
Following the success of a self-released EP and a split 7" with fellow Scottish punks Min Diesel, Pinact are set to appear on a 12" split EP through Art is Hard Records alongside Joey Fourr, Radstewart, and Poledo in March 2014.
