Fractured Air premier Olivier Alary's 130701 Anniversary Mixtape

Blogsite Fractured Air have premiered a stunning 130701 mixtape from Montreal-based composer Olivier Alary, whose debut album we recently released. The mixtape, a celebration of 15 years of the label, is a stunning mix formed entirely from material in the 130701 catalogue, with every artist in the roster represented.

The piece also carries a wonderful review of Olivier's album, describing it as 'a stunningly beautiful electro-acoustic voyage that possesses a lyrical quality at every turn... that delves the listener deep into a realm of drone-filled modern-classical wonder, evoking the timeless spirit of A Winged Victory For The Sullen or Johann Johannsson.'

Olivier Alary contributes to Acoustic Cameras project

Montreal-based composer Olivier Alary, whose debut album just came out on our 130701 imprint, has contributed to Acoustic Cameras, an online project inviting composers / sound artists to compose pieces for webcams in various locations. Olivier's contribution is a piece composed for a system of 64 sine wave oscillators, for a webcam located in Farmers Branch, Texas. Check out Olivier's piece here.
